Toothypegs
As seen on Twitter and BlenderArtists. Maybe I should just let the Twitter feed run here in place of the blog to save repeating myself, since it's doing the same job. Any objections?

Another New Button
I've finally been coaxed against my better judgement onto Twitter, where I'll be attempting to make more incremental updates (along with the ones I've been making here). Hence, I've added a new button, up there on the right. I'm not sure exactly what it does, but it's blue and Twittery-looking, and that's good enough for me.
I'll continue to reserve this blog for more significant updates (such as new buttons).

4 Years Later
For anyone that's still alive to remember or care, I have some news concerning the soundtrack for that head video I made back in 2014, which was attracting a lot of requests for an extended version. Well, I'm afraid to say things didn't quite work out as expected.
No, instead I went well beyond that and made an entire music-visualisation-extended-sountrack-video out of it! It now has its own title (String Theory), and it can be viewed/heard below. The track is available on Bandcamp (in various formats incl. 24 bit lossless), CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and most other places (not Google Play though unfortunately, as that would cause a conflict with the video).
Note: since YouTube seems to have trouble with thin lines and subtle gradients, I scaled the video up to 4K to reduce compression artefacts. So even though its native resolution is 1080p, it looks better at higher resolutions. If you're using Edge or Firefox and can't access 1440p or 2160p, try the following:
Edge: Type about:flags in the address bar and change "Enable VP9 video format" to "Always On"
Firefox: Type about:config in the address bar and find "media.mediasource.webm.enabled". Double-click on it to change it to "True".

The Passenger is 10
A decade ago today The Passenger premiered at the Arclight in Hollywood, and while it might have been nice to mark the occasion with a 10th anniversary special edition stereoscopic UHD HDR HFR re-release, I decided to save myself the trouble and just lop $10* off the DVD for an indeterminate time instead.
That way I get to fritter away even more time trying to finish off this other... thing... that has devoured the better part of the last two years, rendering my website dormant in the process.
*This sale has now ended, but I've reduced the normal price by $5 (for another indeterminate time).

Krita Test
The next 3D render has left me with a lot of down time, so I thought I'd finish off a sketch that emerged while I was evaluating Krita mid-last year.

Eyeball
Unfortunately YouTube has not done this one much justice... enable HD to improve the picture quality a bit.

Face WIP
After a succession of interruptions I've finally managed to make some more progress on this guy. As before, it's just a proof of concept, so there's a myriad of temporary, incomplete or just plain missing bits. I saw fit to add some music this time, for whatever reason.

Website Mk IV
Now Powered by Blogger, or so the footer says. It's not quite as pretty as it was when it was powered by Wordpress, but it is faster, free-er, Google-er, and surrounded by a virtually impenetrable hacker-deflecting fortress (this should not be taken as an invitation to try hacking it, by the way).
