    1. Thanks for pointing me to this. It's unfortunate that someone has decided to do that, as not only does it spoil the viewing experience for a much larger audience, it will most likely reduce my chances of being credited for it or to profit from it, which means I can't spend as much time making more of them.

    2. He put your credits there

    3. I know, but if it's copied from there and distributed, there's no way of knowing where it came from.

    4. Chris, great work.
Don't worry if someone is distributing your work, i have come across your video on one Croatian site, and I have come here to see more.
      Good luck in future.

    5. I came across your site from Imgur, your watermark is still intact :)

    6. Actually, the watermark on the link above isn't legible.

  2. great work . what rendering system did you use?

  3. Well done, the SSS looks nearly flawless! What was your render time? I'd really like to see your rigging and shading setup.

  4. Thanks for sharing with us. I have seen your work before. This is really getting there. A few questions/comments: The (peach fuzz) hair around the eye, at the start, seem to glisten/gleen too much. Draws focus away a bit. The ears do not twitch/move when facial muscles are used. What did you use as the subject of the eye? Veining is very realistic. With some of the physics you have played with before, a full body running would be almost impossible to tell it is not animated. Thank you for sharing with us, I look forward to seeing more of your stuff in the future.

    1. The peach fuzz has technical issues I haven't been able to get to the bottom of. Ears usually only move when you smile or squint, or move them independently (well that's the case with me, anyway). :) I referenced myself and various photos for the eye.

  5. WOW! I've never seen a character animation like this....please realise that this is quite revolutionary! Wait for the big movie companies....

  6. That is spectacular. I would love to see this in 4K, if you're able to render it out in that resolution without it taking years.

    1. Well, not years, but 800 hours x 4 = about 4 1/2 months of rendering... If it could be made to render on a network, much less of course.

    1. It has no name and isn't downloadable at the moment, but there's been a lot of interest in it so I'm considering this possibility.

  17. In other news, Mr Hand has been spotted lurking about in this Cyclone Yasi news report from a few years ago. There's no knowing where that devious fellow will turn up next...

Thanks to Peter N for the tip off. :)

  19. Wow! This is phenomenal work! This reminds me of stuff I saw when visiting the USC ICT's graphics lab earlier this year. Here is a video overview of theirs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UK0DpAAaF9Q

The quality of your work reminds me of their "Digital Ira" project, which is a joint project they've done with Activision. I hope you're getting the level of recognition you deserve!

  25. I have loved cgi since I first saw it, back in the early 80's (ever seen ReBoot? Love that programme). But even in films like Tron Legacy and some of the Japanese game movies, it's always the eyes and the hands that give it away, Uncanny Valley and all that. But this was so brilliant, I wasn't sure if it was really cg or film of a real person made to look like cg. Most excellent work.

  26. Wow, this is beautiful, I can see again and again...it is so fantastic!! Amazing, master art.

  28. How are you doing? I am a student studying CG in Japan. I was so impressed your wonderful work. My first time to watch your movie on You Tube, the impact from your movie made me cry. Never have I had such experience. I would like to work Pixer in the future. You may laugh? But my dream has been stronger and stronger since watched your movie. I try to do my best dreaming to work with you, thank you for giving me a dream and hope. I will always be your fan.

    1. Well, I don't think I've made anyone cry with my work before... they were happy tears I hope! ;) And setting high goals is nothing to be laughed at. Always aim for the top I say. The least that can happen is you'll end up in a higher place than you otherwise would.

      Thanks for the nice comments!
