The End

I've been planning for some time now to resurrect my home page on a more modern, spam-resistant platform, however after experimenting with connecting the domain name to Google Sites and then not knowing how to reverse the procedure, I seem to have inadvertently forced the transition upon myself all of a sudden.

Rather than wasting time trying to revert the situation so I can keep the site going until its replacement is ready, I decided it would be more dignified to just set it free now, so it can frolic on the interwebs along with the old The Passenger site for as long as Blogger remains in existence, while I scramble to assemble a basic home page before the next Universal Human release.  Hence, the new site is quite sparse as of now, although perhaps that's for the best, since it cuts down on maintenance.

In the meantime, you can follow my exploits on Twitter (which has practically supplanted the blog here anyway), YouTube, and the now stupendously long Blender Artists thread.  Or you can stay here and peruse 17 years of enthralling blog updates...

Iris Sculpt

After wasting months painting iris textures and trying to bolt them onto an old sculpt, I finally relented and resculpted it.  I wanted to wait until I'd replaced my severely declining Wacom before doing that - until I realised I could use the eraser end of the pen (which still works properly, and has the same functionality as the pointy end)!

New Skin Products Launch

Universal Human Skin Shader and Face Textures are now available:




Most of the rigs and base meshes have also received a big update, the details of which can be found on the overhauled Universal Human website, along with instructions for making your own textures and baking displacements, amongst other things.

I now await a flood of cosmetics and skin care spam in the comments.

Plica Semilunaris

For the uninitiated, the plica semilunaris is the vestigial nictitating bulbar conjunctiva adjacent to the lacrimal caruncle at the medial canthus (obviously...), and is the main focus of today's video.  More info here.
