But Chris, what are you going to DO with all of this power? Don't you feel destined to create some earth-shattering artistic work in the form of a movie or something? I want to see you blow the whole world away with your talent, and you're becoming an old man. Just tell me you're working on something behind the scenes!
I feel like you have already found your niche and have already made some of your best work. I can't imagine how satisfying it must be to create like you do. Maybe once you are done with Blender you can move onto a game engine like Godot or Unreal and start automating these little suckers.
For bumps I used pore textures baked from sculpts in Blender (see here), and a simple brush with a very sharp falloff curve for wrinkles. For colour I used a variety of custom mottled/spattery texture brushes.
Very impressive. Do you use software like substance painter or is everything done with blender? Thanks
ReplyDeleteThanks - it's all Blender and Krita.
DeleteA truly impressive level of detail. Totally outstanding, congratulations!
ReplyDeleteAwesome
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing!

ReplyDeleteI feel this way, yes. Sadly I lack the requisite powers to qualify as a movie director, but "something" might be possible.

Deleteyou should sell tutorials on this, you would get rich
ReplyDeleteHoly ... great work! Would love to pay for a tutorial on this ... or even the shader + maps ... do u think about selling this in some way?
ReplyDeleteProbably not a tutorial, but the textures/materials themselves, most likely.
DeleteA reasonable price and gonna i throw my money after you!
DeleteWow, you have skill! I was wondering if you ever thought about working at Disney or DreamWorks. Do you work for any animation studios?
ReplyDeleteI used to think about it, but I think more about my own projects now. Not working for any studios at present.
DeleteWhy?
DeleteFrom all YouTube Videos I have seen yours are outstanding
What resolution is this? I got good results with 16k Maps but your last picture is so highly detailed, incredible.
ReplyDelete8K bump/displacement, with some high frequency procedural bumps. The other maps are 4K or less.
DeleteMay I get a link to the textures that u used in it
ReplyDeletePlz give the link of the textures we will be thankful to u. Plz a great request
ReplyDeleteHey, how did you create texture maps in krita, any special tools?
