Im your fan I love the graphic, the color and the perfection you put into this design ..I understand the tones of amounts of work you put in to this graphics because I known photoshop and I do know the pain on graphics .. you must be proud of your work and also the understanding of your girlfriend or family member that had to support when your spend years of your life in the computer ..

I have a question. The film your selling on dvd is longer on time than the you tube version..?
Or is the same film .. what is the difference btw theyoutube and the dvd version..?

ReplyDeleteI only have the one DVD for now. Once I had made a website and entered the film into its first festival the marketing virtually took care of itself (which makes it sound like a lot less work than it actually was). It was a bit of an experiment really, to see if the film could find its own legs based on its own merit.

ReplyDeleteI found your film on YouTube today, and have just been soaking in everything I can from your "making of" section. This is an amazing piece of work! You are amazing! Did it work? You made the short with the intention of using it to get a good job...do you have one? I am 22 years old, and have been playing around with animation since I was 15. I have been looking for animation jobs for several years...but with so little experience I have only been able to find small local projects to help with, and all of them within the last six months or so.
Do you have any advice for me? I have started so many personal projects that have never been completed. I just want to be part of something big.

ReplyDeleteI've been offered some good job opportunities, so in that sense it worked. By the time I'd finished though, I was more inclined to keep developing my own projects and freelancing.
My advice would be to find some time to pour all your efforts into at least one of your projects, so you can start building a showcase that represents the best that you're capable of. Experience counts for very little if the quality's not there. There's really nothing else for it but to just put the hours in, push yourself as far as you can go, and be very patient. Keep on with those small local projects though, you never know where they might lead. :)

I am studying a Music Technology and Production degree in Ireland and I have chosen the area of Sound Design for animation and gaming as a future career.
